Our membership is growing, and it is increasingly important that we carefully manage the entry levels of all new members. New members arrive with a wide range of skills and experience, and our goal is to place everyone in a group that is both fun and appropriately competitive.

We ask all new members to be as accurate as possible when self-rating. Beginners and players with a self-rating of 2.9 or below should select the Recreational Level in the CourtReserve app. Players with a self-rating of 3.0 to 3.4 should register in the Intermediate Level in the CourtReserve app, and players with a self-rating of 3.5 and above should choose the Advanced Level. Players with a DUPR rating of 3.8 and above may be added to the Advanced Plus Level upon request.

The current skill groupings are:

• Recreational – For players who are not yet wanting to play in the more competitive levels. This is the starting point for all beginners and for those with a self-rating below 3.0.

• Intermediate – For players who have self-rated between 3.0 and 3.4.

• Advanced – For players who have self-rated between 3.5 and 3.75.

• Advanced Plus – For players who have an external rating (such as DUPR) of 3.8 or higher.
